General Appearance

The Abyssinian is a medium-sized, lissom and well-muscled cat. She stands well off the ground giving the impression of being on tip toe. The very elegant cat never appears clumsy. |
| Character | The charming Abyssinian are headstrong, very intelligent, snoopy and confiding cats. With her spirited, active, frisky and devoted character the "Aby" elates her owners every day anew. |
| Coat | The coat is soft, silky and fine in texture, but dense and resilient to the touch with a lustrous sheen. Medium in length but long enough to accommodate two or three dark bands of ticking. |
| Colors | ruddy, sorrel (red), blue, fawn and silver. The colors chocolate and lilac are new. |
